This course provides the student with an understanding of refrigerants and refrigerant oils.  The student will learn the basic refrigeration components and the refrigeration cycle.  System evacuation, recovery, recycling, and reclaiming procedures will be covered as well as procedures of charging and the use of calibrating instruments.
