The Eugene M. Mangini HVAC
Scholarship is the creation of the Independent Connecticut Petroleum
Association Education Foundation, a non-profit 501 [c] [3] educational
vocational technical school certified by the State of Connecticut's Board
of Higher Education.
Eligibility for the scholarship is based on only those who are about to graduate from high school or those who have graduated from high school within the previous 90 days. Scholarship applications are reviewed by the ITEC School Advisory Board [SAB]. Government
programs ITEC
participates in the following programs to provide students with various
options to finance their education. TRADE
ADJUSTMENT ACT The Trade Act of 1974, as amended, provides Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) services and benefits for individuals certified by the Federal Government as having lost their jobs or reduced their hours of work and wages due to increased foreign imports, or a shift in production to certain countries.
Training Training
to assist an adversely affected worker who lacks marketable skills return
to suitable full-time employment. The
worker is entitled to only one training plan under a single certification.
Allowable types of training include classroom training; on-the-job
training; customized training designed to meet the needs of a specific
employer or group of employers. Remedial
training should generally include a skilled component, with the nature of

License Certificate (575 hours, 16 weeks) “B”
License Certificate (288 hours, 8 weeks)
Qualified
veterans can receive a training benefit to cover the entire cost of
ITEC’s HVAC program. ITEC’s HVAC
program is an approved VA training program. |
