ITEC
has been very fortunate to be the recipient of several equipment
donations during the months of November and December.
Robert Kasten of Kasten & Company, Inc.
Manufacturers’ Representatives and Bard Manufacturing
generously donated a Bard Low Boy Furnace. A special thank you
goes to Jon Green and the CT Valley Service Managers for the
donation of a ProMax Reclaiming Unit.
And two ice machines were donated by local contractor
Thanh Chung.
More visits are scheduled for both tech schools and Rocky Hill High School.Al Breda made a presentation to students at Newtown High School on Thursday January 17th. Two career fairs will be attended in February at Rham and Old Saybrook high schools. The
Plumbing P-License Review Seminar is a comprehensive review
presented each month for those who will be undergoing their
plumbing license exam. The reviews are 2-day classes.
The seminars are held on Monday and Tuesday of the week and run
from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Beginning in January, 2008 ITEC students will be able to take ITEC classes online, via the internet. Our first distance learning class is from our "B" License program and is Basic Electricity. Students register and pay ITEC as they normally would and then will receive an electronic confirmation by email with a password to our website where the student may then begin to take the class. Upon successfully completing the class the student will receive a course completion card and credit just as is the case for any student who attends the class at ITEC. Since
2004 ITEC has been certified as a private occupational
vocational technical school by the Connecticut Department of
Higher Education
ITEC
hosted a group of students from Goodwin Tech this week, who
toured the facility, talked with the instructors and got a good
idea of what a great education future HVAC techs get here. Two
of the seniors took scholarship applications with them!
