Reward for Investment. BPI certification is a
wise investment that will reward you again and again by
helping you grow your home performance business. Set yourself
apart from the rest - join the national leaders in the home
improvement industry.
ICPA’s surveys of Connecticut consumers
confirms time and again that our HVAC technicians are rated
near the very top of those whom consumers respect
for information about energy issues. Our Technicians are
ranked higher in credibility than the entire news media,
government, utilities and every politician. We are in the
homes of more than 682,000 consumers and have the ability and
credibility to deliver a strong energy message and develop new
lines of business. No other business is so perfectly
situated to help our customers as we are—As
long as we are willing to develop a new business plan for the
HVAC shop and take advantage of what we know — and how we can
deliver - Value.
Here’s
your payoff for investing in ENERGY ANALYST-1 / BPI training
at ITEC:
-
Create
a new profit center
-
Broaden and diversify your service department into a
comprehensive Energy Conservation Department
-
Make
your company unique from your competitors
-
Meet
the growing demand for energy audits from your customers
looking to save money & conserve energy
-
Use
the opportunity of an audit to sell additional equipment and
service
-
Put
possible layoffs in your service department back to work
-
Avoid
your customers going elsewhere for home energy conservation
solutions
ITEC has
partnered with the state's electric utilities, IU and CL&P, to
provide a $500 subsidy for those who successfully complete BPI
training and receive their BPI certification. The state's
electric utilities are under a DPUC mandate to perform energy
audits for consumers - and the utilities need trained, BPI/HES
certified technicians to perform the audits. As there are not
enough techs to do the work - this is the perfect opportunity
for every company with an HVAC department to broaden their
tech's training, get certified and become a part of the
servicing of the demand for home energy audits.
Meet new
demand.
Heating oil companies have successfully established energy
conservation departments, gotten techs BPI-trained and
certified and are profiting providing this service. Why aren't
you?
ITEC's next class
for BPI Energy Analyst-1 certification has a registration
deadline of April 19th. See our class listing below!

ITEC
President Gene Guilford is pleased to announce that ITEC and
green building professional instructors at
CleanEdison Company
have agreed to bring a host of new green energy technology
training to Connecticut. Under the agreement,
CleanEdison
will work exclusively with and through ITEC for the delivery
of BPI/Building Analyst training and all associated subgroup
classes to the BPI training, Geothermal and a variety of
other green energy building standard training.
At ICPA's
June, 2009 59th Annual Meeting we rolled out an entire
vision of the transformation of the heating oil industry.
Part of that vision is the transformation of the service
department to enable it to become the energy conservation
department - and providing the training so that our existing
HVAC techs can broaden their work in the home as we are
uniquely situated to view the whole home as an energy unit.
CleanEdison
is a national company with a tremendous reputation for
delivering the highest quality training and the partnership
with ITEC exclusively in Connecticut will enable two
terrific training institutions to work together for
marketers and the general public in our state.
BPI’s
Building Analyst 1 Training, as delivered by CleanEdison,
will give your technicians the knowledge they need to
perform a whole home energy audit. Learn the relationship
between all the systems in the house and the effects on
health, safety, comfort and efficiency. The whole house is
a system, learn how it all works together and how flaws in
one part can compromise performance throughout. Learn
building science fundamentals, energy conservation
strategies, heat loss calculations, duct testing and
sealing, blower door testing, etc. Find the root cause of a
problem and give them solutions that work! Your technicians
already know the HVAC system now they can learn about the
whole house as a system. 5 days of intensive training
and testing.
